Guilford County Department of Public Health along with the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) is recognizing in the first annual “National Disease Intervention Specialists (DIS) Recognition Day.”   This annual recognition, to be celebrated the first Friday of October, honors the workforce that is the underpinning of all STD and HIV programs– disease intervention specialists, or DIS.
