Guilford County Department of Public Health has a new tool to help the community stay updated about its flu vaccine availability:  a flu information line.  This telephone line (641-4FLU or 641-4358) provides the caller with flu vaccine and appointment information in both English and Spanish. “We are trying to make getting a flu shot as easy as possible for our residents,” stated Merle Green, Health Director.
Flu vaccination information is also posted on the agency’s website at www.guilfordhealth.org. Click on the Seasonal Flu icon at the bottom of the home page. You may post your questions on flu and flu vaccine to our Medical Director, Ward Robinson on his blog, www.askguilfordhealth.com
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the NC Division of Public Health are recommending an annual seasonal flu vaccination for everyone aged 6 months of age and older.
