The Warnersville Farmer’s Market is celebrating the beginning of summer with its first-ever Children’s Day, on June 21st from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.The event will take place on the front lawn of J.C. Price School at 400 W. Whittington Street in Greensboro. The community is invited to participate in activities such as sack races, cornhole, and kickball. Prizes will be awarded to lucky winners.
In addition to the usual selection of fresh summer fruits and vegetables sold by local farmers, the Market will also feature vendors from the Warnersville neighborhood. “Summer has so much to offer at the Farmer’s Market and the Warnersville Farmer’s Market is a great way for the community to celebrate the first fruits of a long summer harvest,” says Marianne LeGreco from UNCG’s Department of Communication Studies and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
