Low Cost Rabies Clinics in Guilford County (Health Information)

The Guilford County Department of Public Health is reminding residents that low cost rabies vaccination clinics are available at various locations throughout Guilford County until October, 2008.  The following is a schedule of clinic sponsors, locations and times:Guilford County Department of Public Health Animal Control Clinics:  All clinics are on Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  The cost is $5.00.
June 14, 2008 at the Jamestown Fire Station, 301 E. Main Street, Jamestown, NC 27282.
July 26, 2008 at the Summerfield Fire Station, 7400 Summerfield Road, Summerfield, NC 27358.
August 9, 2008 at Gander Mountain, 2223 Vanstory Street, Greensboro, NC 27403.
September 6, 2008 at Fire District #28, 6619 NC 61 North, Gibsonville, NC 27249.
October 11, 2008 at the Pleasant Garden Town Hall, 4920 Alliance Church Road, Pleasant Garden, NC, 27313.

Guilford County Animal Shelter Clinics:  All clinics are held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  The cost is $5.00; the location is 4525 West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27409.

Feral Cat Assistance Program Clinics (FCAP):  All clinics are held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  The cost is $5.00.

As of June 3, 2008, there have been 11 cases of rabies in Guilford County.  Updated rabies vaccinations in our pet population are our best defense in preventing the spread of the deadly rabies virus to the human population.  Residents are urged to take advantage of these opportunities to protect and safeguard their pets and families.
