Guilford County Department of Public Health is alerting residents that a skunk found in the 6900 block of US Highway 158 in Stokesdale tested positive for the rabies virus on November 7, 2011.  The rabid skunk had contact with two dogs but no humans.   This is the seventeenth case of animal rabies in Guilford County this year.
