This Green Guilford plan is designed as a structure by which Guilford County helps bring about a more sustainable community by: 1) Working on internal operations and issues addressed almost exclusively by County (and related) staff and, 2) Helping the citizens live more sustainably by educating and advocating for green issues through the creation of a county-wide Sustainability Advisory Board and supporting their activities.

What is important to focus on is that this plan is the framework for sustainability. The implementation (business) plan is the next step with action items that put the plan in motion. The input we have received to-date is largely associated with the implementation process, which follows the adoption of the plan. As input is received, it will all be logged for consideration. The input may better fit this draft plan; it may better fit the implementation plan.
