The companies listed below are licensed by Guilford County to collect garbage and recycling for residents who live outside the County's incorporated cities and towns. County residents may choose a licensed collector whose pricing and service best meets their needs. A maximum fee schedule is set by the Guilford County Board of Commissioners for these collection services. The current schedule of maximum charges is as follows:
- $16.50/month for once per week garbage and twice per month recyclables collection at the curb.
- $23.50/month for once per week garbage and twice per month recyclables collection at the back door. (This service can be made available, at the discretion of the collection company, for elderly or disabled residents who require assistance with their garbage and recyclables collection.)
- $25/month for twice per week garbage and twice per month recyclables collection at the curb.
