Scrap Tires/White Goods
Guilford County provides residents with free disposal of white goods (large appliances), including units containing freon and other coolants, at the County's collection facility. In addition, residents and businesses may dispose of scrap tires at the facility. Tire disposal is regulated by state statute, so please contact the facility directly at (336) 294-9431 for specific information and requirements. Tires that are not eligible for free disposal under state law will incur a fee of $.73 per passenger vehicle tire, $3.65 per heavy truck tire and $.0365 per pound for off-road and oversize tires (weight ticket required).

Residential Recycling

Guilford County residents who live outside Greensboro, High Point and Jamestown city limits are encouraged to recycle through their garbage collection service provider. Call (336) 641-3792 for more information.

Greensboro Residents
Acceptable items may be recycled trough the residential curbside program once a week or taken to one of the city's drop-site locations. Businesses are also encourage to join the city's Team Recycle dumpster program. Click below for more information.
