Zoom In |
|
The Zoom In tool allows you to zoom in to an area smaller than the area currently visible on the screen. To zoom in to a specific area of interest, click the zoom in button and move your cursor to a corner of the area you wish to zoom to. Depress the left mouse button and drag a rectangle around the remaining portion of the area of interest. When you have defined the zoom-to area, release the left mouse button. The map will zoom in to the area you designated. Alternately, you can click on the map for an automatic zoom. |

Zoom Out |
|
The Zoom Out tool allows you to zoom out to an area larger than what is currently visible on the screen. To zoom out, click the zoom out button, then click on the map at your point of interest. The map will zoom out and re-center on that point. |

Show Full Map |
|
The Zoom to Max tool allows you to reset the view of the map. |
|
|
|
Go Back |
|
The Go Back tool allows you to reset the view of the map to the last map you were viewing. |
|
|
|
Pan |
|
The Pan tool allows you to recenter the map without zooming in or out. To pan, click the pan button, then click on the map and drag to the desired location. |

Select By Circle |
|
1) It is helpful before using this button to click the Zoom In button in the area you wish to search to make the selection easier to view.
2) The Select By Circle tool opens a dialogue box in the bottom frame where you can select a radius distance and/or check the Draw the Selection Circle box. Then click anywhere on the map. A buffer zone will be created around the point you select which will highlight all the registered sex offenders within the selected radius distance (1, 2, or 3 miles).
3) Also, the names and addresses of the registered sex offenders will be displayed in the bottom frame.
4) You can click the View link to see a detailed display of the selected registered sex offender. That screen also has links to return you to home or to create a new search. You can return to the map and close the detail page by clicking the x in the upper right corner.
5) You can also click the SRN-Locate box to find the selected registered sex offender on the map. After you click the box, just click anywhere on the map and a star will appear at the offender's location. |

Clear Selection |
|
The Clear Selection tool allows you to remove all selected features (like the yellow dots on selected addresses) and returns a fresh map. |

|
Print View |
| |
The Print Map View button will display a map that you can print. A new browser window will appear showing a map layout. Click File/Print to print the displayed view. |

ID Search |
| |
1) The ID Search tool allows you to get information from any RSOF dot on the map.
2) Click this icon and then click any star.
3) The name and address of that registered sex offender will appear at the bottom.
3) Click the View link to see a detailed display of the selected registered sex offender. That screen also has links to return you to home or to create a new search. You can return to the map and close the detail page by clicking the x in the upper right corner. |
